Receiving the Hospital of the Month highlights our daily focus on patient and staff safety and all of the ongoing work that all team members prioritize daily to keep our patients safe. Our Hospital's mission is doing what’s right for kids (and their families and each other). We also focus on our BJC values of Compassion, Respect, Excellence, Safety and Teamwork.
Patients have been seen from all 50 states and 80 countries, with approximate annual patient visits: 275,000 (Children's), 150,000 (Washington University). Recognized among the top 10% nationally by U.S. News & World Report and ranked in all 10 specialties surveyed. Redesignated in 2020 as a Magnet® hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's (ANCC) Magnet Recognition Program, which recognizes excellence in nursing.
